The Halcyon Contemporary Art Gallery is constructed to deliver a space to create, accommodate, and promote. The North gallery space of 1200 sq. ft. allows us to feature contemporary artists working in a wide range of media. The Project Room features experimental art including Sound and New Media installations. Our focus is on regional artists living and working in the Midwest. We offer painting, indoor and outdoor sculpture, works on paper and photography to those considering their first acquisition as well as to the seasoned art collector.
The mission of Halcyon is to become a leader in the exhibition of contemporary visual art. Halcyon encourages experimentation through the presentation of new works by emerging and established artists. Through exhibitions reflecting current issues and practices in the visual arts, the Gallery is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of Vigo County, the state of Indiana, and the Midwest region. |
