Halcyon Contemporary Art is constructed to deliver a space to create, accommodate, and promote. A gallery space of 1200 sq. ft. allows us to feature contemporary artists working in a wide range of media. Our focus is on local and regional artists of Indiana and Illinois with occasional shows given to national artists.

We offer painting, indoor and outdoor sculpture, works on paper and photography to those considering their first acquisition as well as to the seasoned art collector.

Petra Nyendick, owner & operator of Halcyon, brings to Terre Haute her vision of the guild of the creative community and its importance to the community as a whole. The gallery and attached working studio is the most recent facet in a life's work in art, a long, strong involvement in the arts as an artist, agent and arts organizer. Artist-in-Residence, Aleksandra Krasutskaya aids in operations at Halcyon, and significantly contributes to the gallery through her knowledge of art, graphic design and her creative thinking.

Halcyon Gallery is located on the Arts Corridor in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana, adjacent to The Sheldon Swope Art Museum.
